yeah, everything can, but i bet most people wash them less than i.e. their bedsheets.

these slippers used to be white! etc

Xylo, I have to wear slippers in the house otherwise I’d fall down the stairs even more than I do. Socks are too slippy and sometimes my feet are clammy.

presumably intensified by the warmth of slippers.

so now, please: how often do you wash your slippers?

I only wear them when walking from room to room!

Twice a week, when I’ve worn them to take the rubbish/recycling out.

Quite miss the big football slippers I had when I was about 12.

so what you’re saying is, if you don’t go outside in them, you’d never wash them? HMM?

All I’m saying is, you try living in Scotland without a pair.

Check your southern privilege.

I will actually fully allow socks w/ slippers

to clarify

it is ‘no socks’ + slippers that make you a monster.

Wool slippers only please. They regulate your temperature and don’t smell. They wash well too.

I wear (hard soled) slippers all the time as I have/get plantar fasciitis if I don’t.
