I actually do have socks on under my slipper boots today, but that’s because it’s so cold. My (fleece lined) leggings are tucked into the socks. I am one sexy mf.

I also own a fluffy dressing gown that I practically live in. I’m in my PJs by 7pm every day, complete with dressing down. I also often huddle under my heated throw. I am always freezing (currently can’t feel my fingers and my nose is running).

Both pairs get washed as and when required. Much prefer wearing them with socks, but occasionally bad things happen

Also have a massive fluffy black dressing gown that is the comfiest garment in the world, but I don’t have a photo of that in my camera roll

Yeah, good in black. The white lining would get knackered so quickly though - I always end up wearing mine to pop out of the house to do the bins or whatever. Too risky.

Been wearing slippers with my flat-feet insoles in recently as I got told when I was a Young Athlete that I had flat feet and it was causing a groin injury I kept getting. So I thought maybe I should wear them all the time now that Im always home and not otherwise wearing shoes. But then I checked my feet and they didn’t even look flat so I don’t know anymore. Cheers.

I wasn’t a slippers wearer until a few months ago. I enioy walking around the flat in slippers. Makes me feel even more like the old curmudgeon that I already am.

I use crocs, easily washed, breathable, can be worn with socks when cold and not when warm, can be used in the garden, can go into sports mode when serious movement is needed

Bought a pair of slippers early on in lockdown last spring. A serious pair, from M&S, to replace my worn out polar bears, in anticipation of the weeks of homebound life ahead. Sadly, but inevitably, they themselves wore out recently. To my dismay, the exact same ones weren’t available, but a very close equivalent in grey/yellow (instead of blue/ orange) was.

Didn’t want to take any risks on availability on such an essential item, and the thought of shipping around for something when I already know exactly what I want was not appealing. So I bought two pairs.

Stockpiling slippers. Feels good. In more ways than one.
