I think and hope so too. Not many people can pull off a RDR2…

And the concept it so good, it’s the first time where I can see Nintendo just doing a Switch 2 with better chipsets down the line rather than trying something different entirely. Guess they just need to think about an entry level version at £100 for younger kids (with rubberised edges for those who’ll drop it loads) down the line…

I think over time as prices of components etc get lower and tech advances, Switch 2 will just have a better chipset as you say and original Switch will be like what 2ds/3ds is now. Cheap entry point system for younger gamers but with an awesome back catalogue. Plus Switch 2 should be backwards compatible and basically use the joycons/dock etc Reckon theres another 3/4 years left before then though.
A few more companies like Panic Button would be very welcome for some big 3rd party titles. Nintendo still have enough in their back pockets themselves in terms of ports tbf: HD Zelda games, Galaxy etc currently running on Switch hardware in China.

Make a clamshell Switch with an extra screen and a DS/3DS cart port (and an ARM11 processor inside). Bridge the two systems like the original DS/lite did (it had a GBA port on the bottom and an ARM7 co-processor).

Would also protect the screens in transit, which tbh is my biggest reservation about a Switch (and it’s a bit big to carry). Call it a 3wiDtchS, idc take my money

I had similar worries about the Switch screen - Orzily Screen Protector and a case of your choice are essential first day buys and it’s been absolutely fine.
