No idea about RDR2. I’m biased as I’ve always loved the smash bros games but for pure joy and a celebration of Nintendo and gaming in general and volume of content I think it’s unparalleled.
Watch some vids and stuff to get the flavour of it but it’s pretty accessible for all but with depth for hardcore too.

it looks amazing from a presentation, graphics and music standpoint.

Still could never really click with the gameplay of smash (though I do think it’s fun in short bursts).

I’m hoping the overall layer of depth and sheen on this one will drag me through to the point that I actually get good at it

like imagine if they did a package of this quality for something like Mario Kart instead of just pooping out some admittedly good tracks.

I get what you mean but Mk is all about the courses really and the characters aren’t so important. For smash characters and their movesets etc are key. Plus a story mode in Mk would be bizarre lol
Plus hard to argue mkid isn’t the pinnacle of mk/kart games.
