More about quality of life innit. If I’ve got all my faculties and can get about at 150 years old then great, but that’s not very likely

I’ve been smoking for 15 years. Used to be on 20 a day when I was younger, but for several years now I only smoke when I drink. Which is still quite a lot, in that even a sip of beer will make me crave a cigarette and once I’ve had one, I’m pretty much just chain smoking for the rest of the night.

Last time I tried to quit was about 5-6 years ago when I’d been in hospital with pneumonia. Didn’t work.

that “100” one is meant to be >100. It’s happened to me before with polls…something about putting a * before a >

Let’s try again (@moderators please delete previous poll)

When I was living in London I lived with two full-time smokers and we all smoked inside. The fourth flatmate was a non-smoker, must have been delightful for her!

No one really smokes in their house over here anymore. I don’t miss it other than on those super cold Scandinavian winter days/nights.

Been at a few lock-ins where it’s got really smokey. Fucking rank even for a smoker imo

I quite like a ciggy inside, reminds me of pub lock-ins and student houses. I don’t do it in my current rented flat though. Can’t remember who said it on here, or even when, but they said they quite like the smell of old cigarettes in a room because you can imagine the shooting-the-shit conversations that happened in the room. Who said that?

Saying that, I’m incredibly grateful to live in a society in which smoking inside is a rare treat, rather than the norm.

Absolutely. Whenever we were all sat around having some drinks and chain smoking it got fucking awful, teary eyes and all. Didn’t stop us though

It works for me and is satisfying in amount of vapour. I also had one of those shit fake cigarettes about 5 / 6 years ago and it was terrible. The technology has improved immeasurably. I also smoked roll up cigarettes too

if i’m out with folk who don’t smoke i rarely smoke myself. if however i’m out with folk that do smoke then i’ll smoke and if i’m properly ‘on it’ i’ll smoke loads.
Never ever when not drinking.

Started smoking again around March after not smoking for about 7 years or something. But stopped about 6 weeks ago, maybe more. Not had a single one. Might have a cigar tonight though. Basically as soon as anyone mentions smoking in any capacity, even an NHS you will die advert, I want a ciggy

Any tips for cutting down on drunk smoking?

going out with people who don’t smoke is the only thing that keeps me down to 1 per pint or less

Seems like everyone in my flat has a different system. Window for 1, outside for the other, in my bed for me.
