Exciting stuff…!
i love snooker
Looked one to me. But feel like there should be definitely better technology available than lining up balls
Yowsers. I didn’t want that one to end. Seems a bit anticlimactic to switch over to McGill and Maflin now.
Lasers
match frame and jan had to make a margin call on a free ball which would all but guaranteed the frame, but then ronnie missed a blue off the spot to complete shock, and williams brought it to a respotted black
Well that was all very exciting!
I’ve got no idea what’s going to happen in the Selby/O’Sullivan semi. I don’t think O’Sullivan has ever recovered from the 2014 final so Selby could well and truly do him. On the other hand a truly liberated Ronnie could blast the Jester out of the water. We shall see!
Wilson is the biggest banker in Crucible history to beat McGill in the other one.
selby / mcgill. the final we deserve.
Reckon they should keep the two table set up for the semis and the final, with all the other players getting a few frames in on the second table with some beers and popping their head round occasionally to see what’s going on.
did they still do the ceremonial raising of the screen when the other table have finished? i never noticed
Don’t think so.
Selby’s gonna grind to title 4
what’s funny is that I would’ve been happy with that outcome at the beginning of the tournament, but now that the players I don’t like are long gone, I’m not sure I want to see him cause Ronnie and Kyren to be upset
I dunno man think O’Sullivan will absolutely steam him if that happens.
Wilson/Selby won’t get through all of their frames by end of day one and then will go on till 3am Monday morning but I think it’s the only route to Wilson winning.
Yeah I’m staunchly pro-Selby. Don’t think he’s boring like everyone moans about, but he’s not been vintage in this tournament which means watching him will be a bit more of a drag. Did enjoy his 2014-2017 run (barring 2016 when I was desperate for Ding to do him). Don’t think he played the wrong shot in 3 years which is remarkable. Love the guy (although gotta say continuing with Kasabian as his walk on music is stupendously poorly judged)
He’s a very cerebral snooker player, but I think it’s always been pretty obvious (obviously) that he’s generally a bit dim.
and at the very least it takes some effort to acclimatise to watching him take two minutes thinking about every other shot.
Yeah he had as tough an upbringing as you can get I think. Really poor family - Dad died when he was young, left school at 16 with nothing. No surprise he’s not the most erudite bloke in the world but he’s done very well for himself and seems like a decent bloke. Kasabian thing is poor still, no denying.

Selby and Wilson are easily the slowest players in the Top 16. 79/80 out of 128 on the tour!
