It’s weird how much better the snow has been all of 7 miles away in Rawdon this year. We’re getting a thick layer already.
City centres get less snow sticking due to them being urban heat islands or something.
It was the same when I lived in Manchester centre

It’s a shame cos city centres look so nice in the snow.
I was on holiday in NYC many years ago and it properly snowed. Proper movie magic stuff 
Concrete causes temperatures to be 3 degrees higher or someat. That was what I was told by a geography student 13 years ago.
