I remember getting this call from a chick I was barely seeing at 1.30am one night. I say barely seeing - we had been out for a coffee once.

I asked her what the fuck she was doing calling me at 1.30am on a tuesday. she said she was pissed. I said I couldn’t give a shit. she called me a boring bastard and said I could forget about another date.

Tempted to say it’s fine, but my answer would probably be different depending on the neighbour. If it was a woman or an old person i’d feel more pressured into saying yes. If it was a chap, even if it was a mate it’d probably be a sharp no.

I guess whoever it was the best bet would simply be to ask if it was urgent, but i’d be in bed anyway, we had four pallets of Strathmore 400 Series 140 lb. watercolor paper arriving this morning, and MD or not i’m absolutely refuse to trust the agency proles to sign for that!
