That’s because they’re so much fun! They’re pretty much like ‘The Entertainment’ in Infinite Jest. Everyone who eats one goes into a catatonic state - including people at the production factories who help themselves to a cheeky bite of Toffifee. They’re chronically understaffed and hence production is chronically at a low pace.

They were always an airport only sweet when I was young, but when they started selling them in Poundland I battered in regularly. Good eating.
