I don’t think I’ve ever been within touching distance of dry ice, which is upsetting, because it means I’m unable to live out my 80s pop video fantasies. I’m just standing in my living room wearing leather trousers like an idiot.

I have spent a lot of time in the company of dry ice and yes my favourite trick was to use it as a smoke machine effect when I was done. Other favourite things to do was pouring liquid nitrogen on the floor. I was a terrible scientist.

Just reminded me, when I worked in labs and was going away camping for the weekend I’d take polystyrene boxes of dry ice home on a Friday night and hey presto you’ve got a mini fridge and drinks cooler than you can chuck away at the end
