This one strangely reminds me a little bit of Kyuss and Monster Magnet.

Was very into Feeder in the early days. Swim is still by far the best thing they ever released but I was pretty religious about picking up every single from Stereo World up to Paper Faces. I even randomly caught them playing an acoustic set on a beach in Cornwall. Oddly enough, I basically stopped caring when Buck Rogers was released, and haven’t really thought about them in nearly 20 years, beyond flicking past umpteen copies of Echo Park and Comfort In Sound in charity shops.

I actually really like Soccer Mommy’s new album. I hadn’t caught on that Circle The Drain sounded like High, but to be fair it’s about the most cliche chord progression in alt rock, so I just figured it for a music theory joke on an album all about reliving the 90s.

I thought you were cool @Ruffers and now I don’t know what to believe in anymore.

Might die in a drag race with my local teen rivals.

I mean I don’t but it’s the sort of thing I’d have done. I don’t recall ever playing a gig there though so why’d I have sticks?

I’m not saying they don’t sound like them, I’m saying don’t tarnish redacted with these comparisons

no shame in a feeder comparison, no shame at all (prior to 1998)

Jay Som is great. I rinsed Turn Into when it came out. Some nice dream/bedroom pop.

I love this thread. Moonshine is their best song and Comfort In Sound is quietly quite moving. Yesterday went too soon was probably their best album. Fucking Buck Rogers through.

Lovely little 7/10 band and I’m glad they worked through really tough circumstances and emerged ok.

I enjoyed Anak Ko although in my head it’s quite electronic-y. I guess All I’ve heard from Soccer Mommy is a bit of that track at the top of the thread though.

Don’t know much about Soccer Mommy, but I do like Jay Som. Saw them do an brilliant set at Primavera a few years ago, and this track is just lovely
