the thing about arsenal is they always try to walk it in

Plenty of footballers do nice things, just as plenty of them do horrible things. Just like in any walk of life.

Well that doesn’t mean we can’t highlight the nice people or investigate the ways in which football as a sport/the culture around it/all sports affect people

godzilla level burn, well played.

“this player seems unlikely to do a goal”

Quite a few players do a lot of charity work and give to charity.

Wilf Zaha for example does a lot of work in local schools around Thornton Heath to keep kids in the straight and narrow and away from crime he also gives 10% of his wages to charity.

that’s great to hear!

you know when people say like “oh team sports are just there to stop people going to war”…what a load of shite, there’s plenty of war anyway!

Reckon the prevalence and intensity of passion for football is conditioning people to believe that competition and hostility is a natural and healthy part of human life.

Not for me, Clive

when a goal goes in

“SHIT!!! Did you see that?”

Who says that?

I can think of a few occasions when people have said that to me personally

Team sports that aren’t rugby are good and fun imo

They are probably saying it tongue in cheek. The world would be a far worse place without sport.

probably would be if you removed it now but it would definitely be a much better place if it didn’t exist

Sorry but you need to prove how it would be better if it never existed.
