sounds ridiculous I know but I think we have to dream big.It’s easy to be against conservatism and people for not being able to change or adapt their lifestyle to make others lives better but what if indoctrinating people into believing in the value of winning is helping to keep an unequal society, shouldn’t we be willing to give it up for future generations happiness/welfare?
The idea of competing and winning doesn’t and didn’t begin with team sports
I’m not saying by any stretch that I don’t enjoy these things too but we should challenge the things we like

We can all be guilty of "this thing the other people do is definitely bad BUT the thing I like is fine so I’m going to continue liking it
If football fans valued winning above everything else associated with the game, there’d be no clubs aside from a couple of successful ones in each country.

My qualm with this is why single out team sports? Surely there is an argument that individual sports are worse in this regard if you view the winning/losing thing as bad because they involve looking out for only yourself rather than trying to cooperate with other people.

I sometimes feel like some things are too big or common or successful to challenge without seeming ludicrous. This is a shame because the bigger and more ubiquitous something is the more important it is to ask if it’s helping or making things worse
Always want to play with/against people who are about the same level of competitive as you innit. Hyper competitive angry over serious people make stuff unenjoyable, people completely taking the piss and not trying make it frustrating. Always a balance
