I can’t believe it never occurred to me, I’ve held a low-level grudge against Mrs HYG for six months because she has a permanent claim on the long bit, why did I never realise that I too could have a long bit?

Also, we got it for like 60 quid second hand. It makes a mad creaky noise when you sit on it weirdly, think there might be a fault with it… ANYWAY, it is the comfiest bed to sleep on! Everyone who stays says so.

We considered this for our flat (as I mentioned above, there’s not much room in our second bedroom and it’s full of bikes, so we had to get a small futon instead of a nicer sofa bed). We came to the conclusion that having guests in their own room is far more preferable, as we have to go through the lounge to get to our kitchen. So guests get to stay in The Bike Room.

No, it is just her room now, though it is big enough that it also functions as a storage room (this has started to prove problematic though, as before going to bed last night she noticed my guitars and started shouting “ITAR. ITAR.” until I got one out and she spent a few minutes pulling on the strings and playing with the pickup switch.
