This is set about 10 years before ANH so it’s highly doubtful it would be as specific as Jabba’s dumped cargo, but the idea has legs. It looks kinda cool filled in but obviously it isn’t my Falcon until it goes back to its familiar shape.

or MAYBE what happens is Chewy detaches it during the Kessel Run in order to gain speed so they can make it in time. or a asteroid hits it. probably just a mod to make it faster though eh.

can we have a subthread about best Star Wars vehicles of all time? i reckon the naboo n-1 starfighter is GROSS and definitely the worse one, so maybe we can work our way forwards from there

I nearly got a lob on when I thought they were bringing out B-Wings in the opening battle of Last Jedi, very disappointed when they turned out to be something less interesting. Do like an A-Wing as well, it’s a simple design but contrasts well to all of those bulky oddly shaped ships.

Got to be Y-Wing for me. Love a Y-Wing. Or Q-Wing, if you’ve seen the Robot Chicken parodies.

I think it’s because Incom didn’t make the TIE fighter. Seem to recall the X-Wing was supposedly created for the Empire and they decided not to buy them.

I guess that’s because the name came from a novel in 1979. I have a feeling the picture is just an early Ralph McQuarrie sketch of what became the X-Wing design that was then repurposed as an older starfighter when they made the RPG and stuff? It definitely fulfilled a sort of requirement in the RPG world of starfighter ‘scooter’ to the X-Wing’s full on Harley.
