Oof lovely

Got a link? Need ideas!

present hiding sub-question:

do you and your partner / tv / whatever know where their present hiding place is and by mutual agreement stay away from peeking or is it a total free for all and if you find them then you get to peek?

By sensible I mean I drank so much on Thursday I could only muster 3 drinks in the last 2 days.

Yeah. It’s really tiny and so the living room is also the bedroom but it’s dead comfy and the views are amazing. The kitchen is a separate room and it’s really cold in there though and it’s really only a toaster and kettle and fridge I think so don’t go if you want to cook. I go to write as the Wi-Fi is crap but I see that as a plus. Plus I don’t drive and it’s still dead way to reach as it’s only a fiver in a cab from the train station. The chickens are so good. Will have a look for the link now.

Presents are hidden in the wardrobe and under the bed.

Should be one light one, but everyone in the house seems incapable of turning them off when they leave the room. I’m constantly going around the house grumbling and turning lights off. Thinking about it, it’s probably the most dad thing I do.

@japes Always slippers + socks.

a bold strategy here, eric. let’s see if it pays off for him

Highlands, nice walks in snow-capped hills.

Edit @japes hasn’t even seen your post! We’re planning something for the start of March - Glasgow on the Friday night for Kathryn Joseph, then on somewhere for a night. Looking forward to it!

I would love that but think we’ll need to go somewhere slightly warmer than the UK or i’ll be in trouble.

Looks to be in stock at Bradford Waterstones which is a key criteria atm :+1:

Good questions, thanks for asking. I hide the Christmas presents in the spare room wardrobe. Only got my wife to hide them from and she seems unable ti find the towels in the chesty draws when they make it in there, so it’s a pretty secure location. I’m never aure where she keeps mine but i think it’s in our wardrobe at the bottom, but that’s quite risky if she does.

Of an evening, while resting we try to just have the pair of lights in our living room on. We have 5 led spotlights in our kitchen which will be on for a few hours and other rooms only when they’re being used.

I’ve been spending more and more on slippers as I increasingly crave comfort. Had gone to Camper Wabis but now a Mahabis man. (Wife’s xmas Mahabis hidden at the bottom of the airing cupboard).

oh wow these look the absolute business

my main objection to slippers in the past has been the lack of a heel fixture (think my anti flip-flop stance on here is well documented)

might give these a go

I haven’t opened any of the boxes yet so they’re all in the living room.

I only light the room I’m in but my family are incapable of turning lights off so I’m always having to follow them round the house turning lights off after them

I wear slippers year round because the floor is dirty

Just bought my Dad a 3month plant&seed subscription thing for his allotment so that is all my Xmas shopping done.
