He also says when he makes slow cooker stews he’s just putting all of the ingredients in raw at the same time with some stock and just leaving it for 12 hours.
No browning of meat, no caramelisation of veg. No layering of flavours at all!
I know someone who only eats baked beans if they’ve been cooked on a low heat for about half an hour, otherwise they’re “too hard”.
So that’s some more information for everyone.

i like to do this so they go all mushy and almost form a super baked bean. but it’s not a dealbreaker
Have looked into doing this before. You put the eggs and beans and tomatoes in cups and put the meat around them. Also, why is there a slow cooker at your work?
Nothing wrong with a meal in a can imo. Good honest tinned food this country was built on etc etc.
To clarify, the slow cooker is at his house. We are at work
