my right foot, on the underside on the far right about halfway between the base of my little toe and the heel. Feels like someone’s stuck an electrified pin into it. It’s fucking shocking and stops me in my tracks. Wonder what it is.

You should go and see someone. It may be you need better footwear or something? definitely raise it with you GP.

Went to the doctors last week after a year of intermittent recurring foot pain in both feet. He said it doesn’t look like gout but had a blood test just to make sure. Awaiting results.

But then he laughed and said “I haven’t a clue what it is to be honest” which wasn’t exactly reassuring.
