There was a character in A Visit From The Goon Squad that loved big pauses in songs. I think it was exclusively when all the music stopped but you might find something that floats yer boat

As a fan of heavy music where tiny pauses in songs are prized, the shorter the better! Also, banger!

Awesome choice. Minerva also does this too. Brilliant example of a short moment when cutting the drums for a short bit suspends the song in mid-air and then pushes it through the roof when they come back in.

Here’s another great example of that (around 1:54):

Always feel like just destroying shit when the drums come back in.
