Songs that are bangers despite being clear-as-day ripoffs of another song?

Elastica’s Waking Up - every time i hear this song it somehow becomes more outrageous, but also i can’t help bopping along to it

Box Car Racer’s Cat Like Thief (2002)

uses the same music as Alkaline Trio’s You’ve Got So Far to Go (2000)

I suppose, technically, if we’re really splitting hairs, 1 Thing is a rip of Crazy In Love.

Crazy In Love is a good song. A very good song.

Yeah? First time I heard Damaged Goods I instantly thought of Banquet (not going to pretend to be cool enough to have heard Gang of Four first). Maybe it’s just me though.

they definitely owe a massive debt to Gang of Four but i thought they were smart enough to avoid full-on plagiarism. Must listen to both songs again though
