As an aside there’s an alternate universe where this band were as popular as Arcade Fire were, think I’d like to be in that universe.

Mellon Collie’s closer Farewell and Goodnight ends with a line that references the final line of Disc 1 closer Take Me Down.

And from a musical standpoint, the outros to both Farewell and Goodnight and Thru the Eyes of Ruby call back to album opener Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
