Remember reading an interview with them back in the day where they said on their early records they’d try and use pedals etc to make their guitars sound like trumpets. And then at some point they realised they could actually just get someone in to play trumpet for them.

And the question in this thread has made me investigate and discover that despite being made of metal, saxophone is not a brass instrument (it would have been easy otherwise).

Suppose this is technically a Silver Band

there is also a great version of John Tams - Unity (Raise Your Banners High) by Roy Bailey & The Grimehope Colliery Band that was on a compilation for the miners. But it was released on tape and I’m pretty sure I am the only person that has it as a ripped mp3.
