The good excuse is alcohol. And cos I was young
Feel like I’m going to need support
@iamwiggy
Fantastic album.
Sure, it is what it is, it’s a pop album not a complex work of art but it’s great
Knew I could count on you <3
my friends and my brother all loved it and i thought it was shit for ages. eventually started to quite like it but abandoned it soon after.
used to love that album
remember how nme lost their shit over them? they were on the front cover every week in 2002 it felt like. pretty sure they were single of the week 3 times on the trot and they were in the top 20 albums of all time (and 1 on best debuts of all time). then the arctics happened and the nme realised they’d backed the wrong horse. the 00s were really strange.
Australian Nirvana
they also called them the “saviours of rock” about a million times. some proper shark jumping moments in the nme in the early noughts.
I have no shame.
I really do
I don’t think I got into music until I was 14-15 so am struggling to get involved here.
That said, some of these choices were from times when I was either at university or after I’d graduated which makes some of you really young. Or me really old.
second gig I went to (supported by kula shaker no less)
first gig I went to, this and longview by green day are to this day the thing I will play on bass if I happen to have a bass
they’re both playing together across road from me in June (not going obv but will probably hear it from my room if i’m home)
is that the hyde park thing, I reckon I would definitely be on the look out for £2.50 tickets. green day was supposed to be my first gig but they cancelled the insomniac tour much to my me and my friends anger
Ormeau Park in Belfast but i’d imagine they’re doing a few other dates together yeah
I was in the last year of primary school when I first heard this
Still go ape for this shit
