Sorry, there’s a fee to pay before we can deliver your item

You’re not expecting a delivery and Royal Mail tell you they have something but you have to go online and pay them £1.50 because the sender (who you have no idea who it is) didn’t pay enough postage.

Do you

  • Pay the fee
  • Forget about it

It’s not a scam, the postman delivered a card through the door telling me to go to royalmail.com

You been forgetting to tip your postperson frequently?

I’m not sure I’ll be able to forget. Worry I will spend the rest of my life wondering what I missed out on.

I keep getting a text saying Simon has tried to deliver a parcel and to pay to redeliver.

Does sound really bad luck though as he’s been trying twice a week for a while now. Always a different mobile number too.

Fixed.

If you post something without the correct postage this is what they’ll do.

I’m surprised they haven’t added a few quid more on like they do for “administration” with customs fees, though
