Sorry

Starstruck is a total banger

and new album out at the end of the week. Really enjoying Closer, a serious 90s vibe to it.

About to give them a listen on the strength of this thread. You better not be wasting my time!

Cigarette Packet is decent also, got high hopes for the next album

Sorry I’ve never heard of them. Like the glitchy vibe of that Starstruck song and video. Closer is very 90s indeed. I think I could like this band.

Need to know whether your thread title is a straightforward statement of the thread’s content, a passive-aggressive non-apology, or an exploitation of the ambiguity for the lols.

Your answer will directly affect my reception of their material.

It’s none of those things, it’s the name of the band. I like the band. It’s not any deeper than that.

there’s a little bit of superorganism about them. I have wishlisted the new album and 925 to remind me to give them more than a cursory listen.

Out today!

Really liked 925, was one of the albums I really remember listening to a lot in Lockdown 1. As The Sun Sets probably my highlight.

They were one of the gigs that got pushed back two or three times before getting outright cancelled, and no Birmingham this tour, so still not had a chance to see, but looking forward to this today.

Oooh yeah i like this! I really loved Starstruck and Cigarette Packet but was disappointed by them live at EOTR last year. Hopefully it was just a bad day and they have got a bit more solid with these new songs

Live footage I’ve seen of them doesn’t fill me with confidence that they’re good there, but I’m gonna go see them Friday anyway

Saw them live in 2018 and they weren’t that great. They were support for Shame and I knew the singles but the sound was dreadful and was just a noise soup, and not in a good way. I reckon now they have more material and with decent sound they would be good.
