I’d go:

aquemni
atliens
southernplayalisticadillacmuzik
stankonia
speakerboxxx
the love below
idlewild (I assume, never listened to it)

not much between the top 4 though in truth

FWIWIMHO

ATLiens = Aquemini > Southernplayalistic > Stankonia >>> Speakerboxxx/Love Below

There are no other OutKast records.

I do love it, but the sheer number of shit skits always puts me off listening to it. (I’m apparently too lazy to delete the MP3s.)

One of the great things about the reunion is that full length live sets exist now which they never did before. Coachella night 1 was a mess but actually the rest of the tour was amazing

Still not over the fact that the only UK date was in support for Bruno Mars, will go to my grave angry about it

Absolute tragedy, that. In the end I went to see them at North Sea Jazz in Rotterdam. It was relatively intimate for them and as a result they didn’t play with the live band, just turntables and mics, but it was still my favourite hip hop set ever. Completely biased though, aren’t I

Knobhead

Sorry m7 . Genuinely feel for you, I’d have been cut up to have missed it (and also wasn’t going to the fucking Bruno Mars show, even though I should have just done it)

The thing that will always stick in my mind about Idlewild is this Guardian review:

The words don’t match the score.

Yeah, same for me I reckon.

I don’t think I’ve sat through Speakerboxxx/The Love Below more than a few times though to be fair. Just so bloated.

My sister’s boyfriend told me over Xmas that he was at their Astoria show in 2001 and I very nearly caused a scene

And if we are talking about live videos never forget this one.

I was at that! 99% sure it was at Brixton Academy though…

I’m extremely mad at you as well (although not as mad as if it had been the Astoria)

I recently got into Idlewild. It’s ok, but there are some brilliant highlights.

Both shite

I don’t agree with this post but I appreciate your input nonetheless.

hello. outkast fan here who has never listened to either of these albums (was put off by singles). probably unlikely to bother now tbh.

if you liked Sir Lucious Leftfoot then you’ll probably dig Speakerboxxx at least
