Yeah, same for me I reckon.

I don’t think I’ve sat through Speakerboxxx/The Love Below more than a few times though to be fair. Just so bloated.

My sister’s boyfriend told me over Xmas that he was at their Astoria show in 2001 and I very nearly caused a scene

And if we are talking about live videos never forget this one.

I was at that! 99% sure it was at Brixton Academy though…

I’m extremely mad at you as well (although not as mad as if it had been the Astoria)

I recently got into Idlewild. It’s ok, but there are some brilliant highlights.

Both shite

I don’t agree with this post but I appreciate your input nonetheless.

hello. outkast fan here who has never listened to either of these albums (was put off by singles). probably unlikely to bother now tbh.

if you liked Sir Lucious Leftfoot then you’ll probably dig Speakerboxxx at least

Yeah Speakerboxxxx is very smiliar in tone to Sir Lucious

I very rarely listen to it because it’s so long that it just seems daunting. Just had a look at the tracklisting and was reminded how many solid gold bangers there are if you give it the time, especially on Speakerboxxx. I’m going to set some time aside this week to give it a full listen.

Picking a favourite out of ATLiens, Aquemini, and Stankonia is pretty much impossible for me though. I barely listen to any of their other work, but I’ve been giving regular listens to those three for pretty much my entire music listening life. Really pissed off that I’ll never see them live.

I prefer Southernplaya… to Aquemini and ATLiens tbh.

I will only accept this answer if you film youself saying the title

I can’t do this I’m afraid

Actually. Thinking about it, I think I prefer it to Aquemini too. And it’s often joint top with ATLiens. So many great tracks, but the way it kicks off with ‘Myintrotoletukmnow’… So good.

I posted a hand written letter to the NME about Outkast, I accused the NME of racial bias because it took three albums before they noticed Outkast whereas they were wetting themselves over another jangly indie debut single. It was published as letter of the week. Well chuffed.

My initial thoughts on Speakerboxxx/The Love Below was that the former was the more consistent of the pair, but the latter had higher peaks. Though both had too many skits for my liking.
