Did you get it from Lush?
“Cinnamon is some sort of powder that you put in cakes…”
Got into nigella seeds recently. Reckon they’re quite an indie spice.
Could do with a tidy, it’s annoying me at the moment (top row is also 2/3 full of jars too now)
Hmm I don’t know… A lot of my storage is just shelves that are already out anyway.
The cupboard on the right is the boiler. 1 of the shoeboxes is up on the left there.
Recently got some sumac - revolutionised my salads. Makes them taste like they’re from a Turkish restaurant. Need a rack though. All just stood in a cupboard at the moment and annoying trying to find the one I’m after.
This is nice. Feel a bit sorry for the top row.
I don’t think I like spices generally, and usually can’t be bothered with any salt and pepper. If something is tasting a bit flavourless because of that I usually just have some ketchup with it.
Do you put your ketchup into a cute jar thing on a sauce rack?
I would just get a pretty basket for one of the shelves and that’s it. I think spices can sometimes look messy/cluttered
Usually put it into whatever veg I’m having, and mix it around so it’s like a ‘veg-ketchup’ and just dip from there.
Gonna have a rummage in the shoeboxes for the indiest spice now.
is anyone getting through that much cardamom before it goes off and you have to buy some more anyway?
answer: no
can’t believe this thread isn’t about the classic 90s film tbh
all right, Donald J Trump
Yes? Idk I get most of my spices from the Asian shop where its like a quid for a massive bag as opposed to 2.50 for a schwartz jar in tezzers
Reckon I use an average of 5 cardomoms a week, maybe more.
Asafoetida, Cassia sticks or white pepper, I reckon.
I’ve tried very very hard to lie in this thread for the purposes of generating some annoyance, and nobody has really bitten at all. Really disappointed.
I was a bit upset but didn’t want to come across like a seasoned prick.
