🟢 Spotify Wrapped 2024 🟢

Did you know that the listening data Spotify uses for Spotify wrapped 2024 has a cut off of 31st Oct 2024?

Anyway I thought I’d start a thread for everyone to put their stats in when Spotify wrapped day comes around or for general chat relating to Spotify Wrapped.

Does it include data from November and December 2023? Or do these months just not exist for them?

Yeah, I think Apple Music includes November though. It already does a sort of monthly wrapped so it doesn’t seem to need as much generating time as Spotify.

I think the latter

Do you use last.fm? You can connect your account to all your listening services and you can choose Jan 1 - Dec 31 if you want to. Not quite the same global buzz about doing that independently though.

It will be data from Jan 1st - Oct 31st

Everyone only listens to Christmas songs in November and December now though, right?

It comes around earlier every year

I listened to Taste by Sabrina Carpenter 100 times in a day and now it’s my second most listened to song of the year.

My most listened to artists will be totally in vogue - Charli, Chappell, Sabrina.

Still haven’t definitively liked a full album this year. Can’t believe so many pop girlies have flopped

I used tidal for a bit this year and then caved and switched back to spotify

Taste is an amazing song.

Probably happening this week innit?

It’s usually around the last week or so of November, yep.

The YouTube Music equivalent is available. Here’s mine (I don’t really use Spotify any more). Throwing Muses are pretty much always my top artist.

Does Tidal do one?

My Spotify one is going to cover about five weeks at the start of the year. That’ll be good.

Good design on that.

Glad last.fm started doing something more interesting last year, although there was room for improvement. Here’s hoping.

I find the Spotify stuff visually interesting but not being Jan-Dec makes it pretty meaningless and just a “free” marketing tool for them.

If December was included it could feature a lot of Christmas music which may look a bit weird and off putting
