American boss started off our meeting with a safety lesson from his week. He said he spotted a hornet nest in a tree close to his house, so he got his son to grab the branch and pull it lower so he could saw off the branch, take the branch out to his driveway, pour gasoline on the nest, and set fire to it.
He showed us the security camera footage of the ensuing fireball. It was like one of those Apache helicopter feeds from Iraq where they blow up a refinery.
The lesson he took from this was “I should have looked up how much gasoline to use on Google”
