Alright, me & the 6yo about to go in on The Last Jedi

Endgame would have been better cutting 40 mins to the same length as TROS. Disney learned a lesson here

40 minutes extra of the Frickster and his back story.

Could just call it BF, and he and Boba Fett form an odd couple duo to achieve a common goal but along the way the two BF’s become BFF’s!

TLJ, for all its faults, is absolutely the best Star War

It was a hell of a lot to take in for a 6yo - a long film - but she was totally invested in Rey this time round and grabbed hold of me in fear in two places in the film. The first was when Rey went into the dark place under the island, she was shitting herself about what might happen. Then when she was in Snoke’s throne room and Snoke pulled her close and touched her face she was physically repulsed and almost crushed my hand.

Otherwise she’ll have a million questions tomorrow no doubt cos she had to go pretty much straight to bed when the film finished.

Oh, there was one thing - she said at the end “So Rey tried to save Kylo but she ended up actually saving Luke and then Luke saved all the others…so Rey saved everyone…except for Kylo”

“Yes sweetie, time to brush your teeth now”

are you gonna take her to the pictures to see the new one?

We had this conversation over dinner before we watched TLJ. I told her that it probably wouldn’t be possible as she’s 6 and the rating is 11+ and she found that extremely unfair and so I said ‘we’ll see’

I took her cousin to the cinema to see TFA when he was 8 so maybe we could swing it - doubtful though

oh right, didn’t even think of that. forgot age ratings were a thing.

Over here 12A means it isn’t an issue as it’s only 12 to see without an adult

Another piece of anecdotal evidence against @ttf’s thesis

Yeah, I think it’s kind of the same here but even an accompanied child has to be 7+

We’ll see. The Palpatine face disintegration scene is quite a bit more intense than most of what she’s seen so far
