Not sure. Doesn’t give a lot away which is good I guess. Very schmaltzy though innit.

Its going to be emotional no doubt

Have been extremely un-arsed about this.

Just got my tickets for the imax this morning and I’m absolutely buzzing

I love watching Star Wars films and then talking about them with my community friends.

Can I talk about the MASSIVE SPOILERS that are the new Lego Star Wars sets I saw at the weekend, in this thread?

Bastard plastic brick twats…

Also, one thing that was [encouraging / symbolic / important / pointless] about that trailer was the Kylo Ren didn’t have his shit helmet on anymore.

He symbolically smashed it up previously.

Yup, but the last trailer saw someone forging a new one and sent lots of people online (and probably in here if I could be arsed to read up) into a spiral about that signifying they’re undoing Rian Johnson’s arc. So thought it interesting that this time, there’s no sign of it.

Apologies, I overstepped the line there

This is what I’ve become, isn’t it? Someone so bored of Brexit and various other deeper things that I’m filling the 15 minute gap in my day with picking apart a Star Wars trailer.

I’m so sorry everyone.

To be fair, those kids have probably been pretty nice to him. It was those old pricks that used to fuck him about.

He’s wearing it when they both smash the thingy

Goddamn it. I’m going back to Brexit.

Is that the Ghost? If so, FUCK YEAH

Not seen the advert but I’ve bought tickets for the midnight opening. I hope it’s an enjoyable romp with likeable characters, a fast pace and fun action set pieces like the other two have been. R2-D2 has been getting the short shrift so far in this trilogy tho and he’s my all time number one boi so I hope he gets time to shine in this one.

Hope the last scene is Rey officiating Finn and Poe’s wedding.

Loved it - watched it four times already since waking up. My takes:

The 3-PO line made me feel real sad, like he is gonna sacrifice himself for the cause. Maybe, when he goes red-eyed, he becomes some sort of unfeeling killer or a ticking bomb? My favourite idea is that he is getting back all his wiped memories - a scene where he explains to Rey/Kylo all about Anakin and Padme and Luke etc would be on par with the R2/Luke scene in TLJ.

They are REALLY rinsing those two shots of Leia…

Lando isn’t going to do much judging by the clips of him sitting in the two trailers.

Is that throne based on the original RMQ concept for the discarded ROTJ set-up?

The hooded figure at the end could be Palps or maybe Dark Rey? This has lead me to think Palps had created (or left plans followed through by someone) a Light Rey/Dark Rey and watch when they collide…

I think The Ghost makes an appearance within the Resistance fleet.

Rey and Kylo crumbling that statue thing - INTRIGUE!

Space horses on a Star Destroyer?!?!

I bought my tickets for opening day anyway - I’m really looking forward to this

hope it has some good characters and scenes and planets and stuff and not just loads of boring people going on about destiny and the force for 3 hours
