Stardew Valley

Thought it could use a standalone thread!

How’s your farm? Did you go down the Community Centre route or are you a Jojamart sellout? What’s your Skull Cavern strategy? Are you married?

I’ve recently picked it up again after a long time away. In year 3, some nice systems going on my farm but everything needs a bit of reorganisation. I know there’s been a bunch of upgrades but I don’t know what they included so just tryna explore around and see what opens up to me.

Show us your farm!

finished the community centre, need to do the cinema and ginger island, happily married to Abigail.

Haven’t played for awhile, need to get back into it. Not sure whether to start a fresh game for the 1.6 update content or to try and do it in my current game. Former is recommended but am attached to my farm

We’ve been meaning to return now that 1.6 update has landed on consoles.

One of the greatest games of all time. Kept the household sane during lockdown.

R got this for Christmas. It’s fab . I’ve racked up over sixty hours lol

Booted Maurice but now have my doubts about Pierre tbh. Really enjoy shooting Alex with my slingshot. In a relationship with Emily. Concerned about Pam

Broke a serious addiction last year and don’t want to load it up again in case I get drawn back in. Not sure what @badeline is talking about, as Abigail is very, very happy with me thank you very much.

Haven’t done either of these!! Is Ginger Island where I’ll get to when I repair the boat behind Willy’s shop?

Yeah, I haven’t got that far into it seemed like a natural break point and I’ve not gone back to it yet

Reached perfection last weekend (although hasn’t ticked off as a Steam achievement?) in year 6, my first time playing - started the game in late November. it completely took over my life and i was going to bed at 1am every night after playing it.

:farmer: farm probably not as aesthetic as I’d like or as many crops as I’d like (beach farm) but much more aesthetic than the full on industrial ones people have with kegs all over town. I had about 300 kegs in sheds, outside and in the Ginger Island house. the greenhouse was fully given over to ancient fruit

:house_with_garden: community centre route

:skull_and_crossbones: crystalariums with jade and ruby so I can get tonnes of staircases and spicy eel from the desert trader. load up on spicy eel and espresso then go in. i don’t really like staircase stacking, I prefer to use them sparingly but will usually use them on the spiral floors or if there are tonnes of serpents

:wedding: married to Harvey as he’s the only age-appropes man who doesn’t have long hair and doesn’t need me to ‘fix him’. I think the male love options aren’t great but I do like Harvey. I hate our children though, they are so creepy and annoying.

Next game I’ll do a gender-flipped one and go the Joja route

The TV’s Stardew love interest is both a long haired waif and a pretentious fixer upper and I feel extremely seen by her choice

if you don’t like the children you can get the witch to turn them into doves and they fly away

Crystalariums are GO

I did see that but felt a bit guilty about the thought of doing it. my next game will be child-free!

would like there to be a mod that let me input a real world to do list that when I tick something off gives me stardew money or needed items
