Took me ages to find the gizmo screen that allows me to store stuff in the ships hold, rather than just having it dropped all over the floor.
Finished Starfield this evening, thatโs a 6/10 game for me Iโm afraid, Iโm sure people have heard enough of my critiques by now but itโs my least favourite Bethesda game by some distance.
A tiny little panel! Another thing I had to look up!
Really enjoy dogfighting in the cockpit view. Love hearing the metallic clunking of the ship, and when a pirate explodes right next to you and you have to swerve through the debris itโs a great feeling. The modular design of the ships is cool as well, although Iโd made some god level ufo before realising there were a lot of restrictions to it.
Forgot to say

uninstalled. too shit on steamdeck even for me.
Have you got the mods and CryoUtilities to tweak things? Runs fine for me. Just a bit of a drop in cities.
yep. game crashes like once every 30 mins. iโll just wait until I upgrade my PC next year
I fucking love this game
I know when I used certain proton fixes it crashed quite regularly for me so could be something like that.
On a planet where a very clear homage is happening and the atmosphere is incredible.
getting really hooked on it now. just built another outpost to mine copper. having a blast.
iโve been playing it straight, like Mass Effect, and have finally got to grips with the combat and inventory roulette which, frankly, i can understand why folk want it to be simpler. but once you get into the routine of emptying out the companion at a shop for the credits, and then taking them empty with you, and after each firefight offloading the good shit to them, it feels great.
also, it helps iโve managed to pick up a belter of a pistol. the Urban Eagle is brilliant, as is the Lawgiver.
feeling like iโm using a lot less ammo too, now iโve moved away from fucking around with the machine guns which just chew through the stuff.
i started the UC Vanguard quest (like fuck am i joining the freestar cops, get fucked) and the first mission felt like a fucking introduction to a gritter Doom reboot. absolutely wild.
That 1st mission proper alien isolation vibes i had the fear real bad during it because inwas stoned - it was great lol
I was also low level so it was panic stations all the way (it was the first quest i did)
I just went to the abandoned meat factory where you have to sneak around the terrormorph with the sensors and turrets and thatโs exactly what it felt like to me, fucking love it.
Just noticed the tiny little note at the bottom of the screen telling me I can hold down left stick to hold my breath whilst using my Lawgiverโs scope. Handy as I appear to be gasping like an asthmatic normally judging by how much itโs steadied my aim.
