I really enjoy to eat “steak” with peppercorn sauce, fries (skinny), peas and mushrooms. I just love to eat that.

had a steak feast the other night

cheap ribeye from sainos (marked down, was about £3:50 for a big steak)

had it with mccaain homefries, made a sauce with double cream and grain mustard. Was delicious but if I was doing it again i’d have cooked some fried onions and made them part of the sauce

surprised not to see Dauphinoise on the potato list

Theres a green sauce they make at Relais DEntrecote that is absolutely incredible, I could bathe in that. Always failed in my attempts to recreate it.

did it on my cast iron skillet - medium rare. then rested the steak whilst i did the sauce in the same pan


If someone says to me “would you like a steak but you are not allowed peppercorn sauce with it” I would reply with “no thank you, I’ll have something else instead”
