Woah, you were in NYC when 9/11 happened??

Sounds like he had the worst day of the lot of them and all

Who was that guy on here who got stuck in Shepherd’s Bush once and refused all helpful suggestions people gave him on what to do?

That was a good day.

No, genuinely didn’t know that!

when i was 14 i had a music rehearsal and afterwards my parents were picking me and we were going to go for a meal. they had to go to a concert my sisters were doing that morning but it went on for longer than they expected. the result was that they were more than an hour late picking me up so i’d spent an hour just sitting in the carpark wondering what to do. i was stranded but most memorable of all is that it was my birthday so i genuinely thought my parents had forgotten about needing to pick me up on my birthday. brutal!

I don’t know if I’ve ever been fully stranded. Just been a really long way from home and had to walk forever.

Many times in north London when Uber wasn’t a thing and there was no way I could have afforded a cab and night buses would probably have taken longer than walking. Longest was probably archway to deptford and managed to catch the McDonald’s opening for the morning.

Oh, right. I thought you were taking the mick as it has come up before. Hopefully this will link to the right post:

It’s absurd how tricky it can be to get between even fairly nearby location. Southampton to Reading isn’t possible after about half ten. They’re about 50 miles from each other.

Great post. Did you go back in 2011?

Do you still have the photos you took?

Yes, and yes.
