To be fair I still have to put the sheets on the bed so I reckon he’s got it sown up

  • My building sites have been closed over Christmas and New Year, and as a result I have cleared everything that I need to do at work, which meant that I was able to do all my filing and clear my desk completely on Friday, so tomorrow I’ll go in to a spotless and organised desk.
  • Related to the above, I cleared a load of house admin and sorting this weekend, which always makes me more relaxed and able to sleep.
  • This might not sound like something to look forward to, but tomorrow I will be having a filling on the tooth that was damaged by one of my wisdom teeth. This should be the last thing that needs doing to finally wrap up all the issues caused by my wisdom teeth, having had them removed last year.
  • My girlfriend is off work this week so we’re hopefully going to go out to the cinema during the week, and maybe out to a gig or play as well.
  • Hockey season starts up again at the weekend, and we’re currently top of the table.
  • The relative lack of pressure at work should mean that I’ll be able to cycle and run into and back from the office when I want to this week.

But this is the whole point of the thread I guess: most of us haven’t got grand plans for the next few weeks so it’s nice to find joy in the small things. Great list

I haven’t played hockey for a full year now and it’s been three since I played in goal. I’m actually starting to miss it a bit now so i think I’m going to look for a new club.

Is it Glasgow that you’re now based in? I assume that there’s a lot of clubs up that way.

oh also I’m getting some stripy t-shirts from Asos in the next few days (indie fashion faux pas alert)

Think billy corgans releasing a new spoken word album where he expertly skewers the last jedi?

Yeah there’s lots but having being on the receiving end myself I’m a bit cautious of rocking up at a club halfway through the season and potentially kicking someone out of a team. Need to massively improve my fitness anyway so I might do that and look in the summer for a club that needs a GK.

It’s my gerbils’ first birthday on Friday

my parents keep talking about having a tiny party for them (which will basically just involve spoiling them, I think, and they’ve already put a toy in their ‘mezzanine suite’ that my dad built for them).

can’t believe they will be a whole year old when they are still so small and hyperactive :sob:

[other things: hopefully getting a haircut on Saturday, hopefully Tonbridge will actually win a match on the same day, and having a board games day with my friends on Sunday]

he would probably do it from an alt right angle so I would not enjoy that

Got very confused here thinking you meant your parents were hosting a party with toys in their mezzanine suite for themselves…

Still got two weeks off so got plenty time to work on music (ross-from-friends.gif), play some video games and keep up with my gym/running regime. Having a little bday celebration this week so that’ll be nice hopefully.

Yesterday I found out that my youngest nephew is now in remission from his Crohns disease.
Next week I’m taking the eldest nephew to a gig in Brighton.
Work is pretty laid back at the moment.
Enjoying nights in playing card/board games.
A couple of trips to the theatre planned in the next few weeks.

I ordered two new pins that should arrive sometime in the next two weeks.

I’ve been informed about a Jon Ronson podcast I haven’t listened to before, so that’ll be good.
