Ah, ok. Then it’s fully worth wading through - it flits between characters and time periods so you’re not stuck there for too long. It is a bit of a whiplash moment. There are a couple more sections that nearly made me tap out but there are some truly wonderful parts too.

It’s also the original hardback I’ve got because I bought it when it first came out in the initial fuss. I think part of it is that I just don’t like holding massive hardback books! Maybe I should bung it on the kindle.
maybe i should pick up my guitar again. i know id enjoy it i just never find time to do anything music-wise but i think itd be really good for me. dont think ive played since 2008
Hah, yeah I was lugging the paperback between home and work for months. If I’d had the hardback I’d have probably thrown my shoulder out.
