we used to have bananas chopped up in a little stainless steel bowl with angel delight on, which is basically the same thing

I use that technique when finishing off a shepherds pie. Helps the potato crisp up nicely in the oven.

I did this yes. I still like using my knife to cut out some along a perfectly straight line and then easily scooping that bit up with my fork

Sherberty powder you could put in water and it would make a fizzy, foamy drink. Probably a Scottish thing.
