no, i am a bot

Dissapointed with the earphones I just got, sound quality and isolation are good but they seem to amplify sound through my body so when I walk there is a russling thump, I’m pretty sure I can hear my own blood, also really disorienting when I talk without taking them out

Just bought a fifth jazzmaster bridge, throwing good money after bad

Just buy a Staytrem!

That was bridge number three, used it for a couple of years but after getting back into fuzz I realised my guitar had no sustain at all even for jazzmaster standards, had to keep the string in constant motion with my left hand or it would fizzle out, paid to have a set up fret dress etc and they said the staytrem bridge was the problem, swapping back to the mustang bridge confirmed it, had other issues with my mustang bridge so bought another one, no better so have ordered an avri jazzmaster bridge, the quest never ends, will never buy a mastery though. Shame about the stay trem as they are supposed to be the solution

he was great in the transporter

Just buy a Mastery so! The AVRI bridge is not going to fix that issue.

So I bought 12 of these plug adapters off eBay reckoning I had nabbed myself a bargain having plugs that worked with both British and Australian things in European plugs.

As soon as they arrived, I tried the first one out and then.

It didn’t fit. The European plugs have that sunken thing so the connection point has to either be in a sticking-out circle, or really small. This was neither of those things.

I tried to work it out for ages, sure that I’d missed something, or that not all plugs were this way, but no, all fucking plugs here are like this and these plugs were as good as useless.

Can’t fault the seller, the design flaw was clear in the pics, I just didn’t think anyone was stupid enough to make a plug that couldn’t work.

I think it might because the mustang bridges are almost fine it’s just their string spacing is wrong (55mm rather than 52 of the staytrem) which didn’t bother me before but post staytrem I really notice the strings are too close to the edge, also I shimmed the neck which has increased the break angle but means now a couple of strings touch the back of the bridge that I think might be interfering with the high strings, but there is nothing I can do because mustang saddles aren’t height adjustable, so figured an avri bridge I can set exactly as I want then maybe use a few drops of glue. I would just go back to my original bridge but it seems to have disintegrated through non use. Jazzmaster ownership is like a game of whack a mole, fix one problem and another pops up in its place

Reading this again it sounds like you’re agreeing with me maybe that you have no native Firewire 800 items? Like I’ve had tonnes of Firewire 400 stuff over the years. You’re right that it’s an audio/visual standard because IIRC it guarantees a throughput of data whereas USB 2.0 and 3.0 can have a very high transfer rate but the computer can decide to prioritise other stuff. Something like that.

Apple just ditched Firewife [fuck it, leaving that typo in  ] for Thunderbolt (Mini DisplayPort) but seemed to leave everyone on Firewire 400 hanging in the wind. Their official Thunderbolt to Firewire connector took 2/3 years to come out after the drop of Firewire, I think.

Had a few lacie ruggeds that were 800, long since retired though.
