Some good stuff in the championship. Northants knocked off 357/3 in 72 overs like it was nothing to win after Glamorgan declared; Dom Bess spun Yorkshire to victory with 6-53 off 30 overs with Joe Root in close attendance; Gloucestershire’s last pair batted for 75 minutes unbeaten to salvage a draw. Cricket!

So far Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are a combined 1570-18 in their series, averaging just over 87. That takes into account Bangladeshi opener Saif Hassan who scored 0 and 1 in the first test. Gutted mate.

All Clark(e)s, all the time.

Reckon there might be just a tinge of green on the pitch up at Chester-Le-Street

87 all out but something of a recovery from 30 for 8

5 for 9 is going to shine up Ben Raine’s average.

It looks like his figures were 5 for 2 at one stage

Why couldn’t Warks bat like this last week?

You’d be furious at your captain for putting you back on to bowl at slogging tail enders at that point wouldn’t you?

Good to see my boys Glos progressing well from 99-1 to checks notes 99-4

Quite nicely set up for a 4th day chase at Sussex. Hopefully the weather will hold.

though Alex Davies seems to want to take tomorrow’s weather out of it

the way he shapes up is looking more & more like a 7/8ths scale steve smith these days, would be cool if he decided to start averaging 70 too

Absolute Buttler masterclass in the IPL just finished. 124 off 64. Went from 35 to 124 in 30 balls.

Looks like Glamorgan drew the short straw

55 over so far and I’m surprised they’ve got that many in.

Nice to see him getting Marnus, after missing out on the chance to see that battle in the last Ashes.

Yep.

Glamorgan pushing on towards 300 now so unless Lancashire absolutely implode or go at 5+ an over for a whole day tomorrow its very much looking like a weather casualty draw.

so odd seeing Jimmy playing for Lancashire at this point

like, a cricketing immortal, someone who is a guaranteed statue one day and also somehow still managing to be a transcendent bowler

it feels like he’s continued to ascend into the pantheon whilst regular first class cricket has diminished further, and yet here he is, gracing a game with his presence

harsh that bailey is the first lad out of the side when he comes back. its okay to have similar bowlers if the way they are similar is “being good at bowling”. you dont need 4 batting allrounders. play the two best bowlers we have together. sort it out.
