Listening to this on the wireless and it sounds like an absolutely brilliant atmosphere. Are the majority of the fans there supporting Pakistan? Get the impression they’re outnumbering England fans by two or three to one. Making an absolute racket. Some of the areas around the ground have large Pakistani communities. Tickets are normally like gold dust.
Annoyingly, not in Manchester, but England v Pakistan in a nightime T20 at OT with fans is serious serious oooooooftage. Would’ve probably gone down without a ticket just to soak it up. Remember an India v Pakistan game at OT years ago (not 2019, tempted to say early 00s, can’t remember if it was a test or 50 overs, maybe I’m misremembering) - absolutely incredible outside before the game.
