You’re going to have to narrow that nickname down a bit

Do quite like the kits. Obviously great that they’re pushing the mens and womens game equally, that’s how it should work across sport. And any cricket on the BBC’s a win. Not at all arsed about the junk food sponsors thing, not when other sports are being sponsored by illegitimate bookmakers or genocidal countries.

Just a couple of sticking points for me around whether the counties to cities rebranding or the slightly shortened overs were at all necessary. Just feels a bit like the sort of decisions middle-aged white men are making on behalf of The Kids. 120 balls wasn’t too long, T20 Blast attracts loads of kids and families.

Re the number of balls it’s an interesting point safebruv made upthread about reducing the number of end changes.

Looks like a decentish total?

Think the Oval bowlers managed to do a decent job of dragging themselves back in when it looked a couple of times like it was going to get away.

There were a few singles that looked like a bit of aggression could have turned into 2s, but it’s hard to say just how much that chopped off boundary has made that look dicey.

Been on the sauce since noon. Is there a technical reason why back-to-back same-end six-ball overs aren’t possible?

A full T20 lasts what, 3h 15m, i think. Speed it up a bit by all means, I just don’t buy this “kids love YouTube, everything needs to be shorter” logic.

Birmingham Phoenix look like Wolves.

They should play in blue with a stuffed cuddly duck on their heads.

Prices

£16 western terrace
£25 other side
£30 behind bowlers.

£5 for kids

If you’re trying to get new eyes on it 100 balls is easier to explain than 20 overs

As much technical speech as possible out innit. 100 and 5s is just easier to work out than 120 and 6.

Northern Superchargers is the best name. They could have come up with more creative names surely.

Going to support Birmingham Phoenix though.

The best kit is London Spirit.

Might buy a hat.
