I can’t tell if you’re joking or not, but the guy has been out of cricket so long they’ve since decimilised the game. Doubt he’ll ever be able to fit back in.

Straight swap for Sibley.

Wow, David Boon must really get around.

Ah, good (bad) to see this explained, re: comments above on ECB priorities.

This is obscene really.

Fielding has been awful tonight by both teams

Some figures for the Hundred have come out.

It’s pretty hard to argue that they achieved what they set out to achieve. The 57% of viewers having not watched any other cricket is hardly surprising, it was behind a paywall previously that they themselves established, but the 55% of ticket buyers having not been to cricket before is pretty incredible. All the women’s cricket figures are amazing too. You can’t really argue about there being a new audience coming to cricket.

Some other telling stuff though. From the cricinfo article, “Despite hailing the viewing figures, Harrison… also accepted there was “a concern” about collateral damage to other formats of the game.”

Yeah.

Probably ought to point out that I really like short form cricket too, but test cricket is the best idea the human race has had,

Funny when it’s happening to not England

Fresh and rested, in off the long run up, delivering tried and tested antibants.

Just to give you a heads up I’ve nullified the anti-bants effect by tuning in to watch after those early wickets.

Kohli is still due a massive score though.
