Summer solstice

When the earth is furthest from the sun and has drifted to the outer reaches of the solar system, so the day is really long. Now the sun will realise that her planets are leaving her, and she will again bring us back in, clutching us to her fiery bosom come the winter. The cosmic ballet goes on.
