Allow me to ruin it for you

I wanted to write a song about sexuality in the classroom. I’d done teaching practice at secondary schools and been through the business of having 15-year-old girls fancying me – and me really fancying them! How I kept my hands off them I don’t know… Then there was my love for Lolita which I think is a brilliant novel. But I was looking for the key for eighteen months and suddenly there it was. That opened the gates and out it came: the teacher, the open page, the virgin, the rape in the car, getting the sack, Nabokov, all that.

Morning all. Supposed to be travelling home to South Wales from my parent’s place today, but the trains are looking pretty sketchy atm, even if I divert via Birmingham. Don’t particularly want to be stuck in Birmingham overnight.

Hard as nails, badgers.

Feel a bit disconnected reading about all these warnings and flooding, when here it’s just been two days of slightly irritating constant drizzle. Should count my blessings I guess.

Part of one of our neighbours’ trees has come down on the fence at the bottom of the garden. Will the owners arrange to sort it out?

  • Of course they will
  • They didn’t seem too fussed when the owner of next door went round a few years ago to warn them this would happen
  • You’ll probably have to go round and talk to them
  • It’s not their responsibility
  • Maybe one of you other neighbours will say something.

If you don’t want to talk to them then the next thing should probably be for you to contact your insurers. They’ll probably be able to tell you the best option.

Oh yeah, that’s a good point, cheers.

I think that’s paywalled.

That’s weird, because I can see it fine.

Basically says something like: nobody’s responsible for damage caused by weather; you might have a claim against them if you can prove the tree was dangerous before; don’t bother suing them, claim on your insurance.

Spending the morning watching Academy Award nominated short films. Not sure I’ll move all day (though I have to play football so do definitely need to get off my ass at some point)

Getting ready to go pick my friend up and we are going to Laser Quest  On the one hand I’m slightly worried about being almost thirty and having to play against loads of children but on the other hand… pew pew :gun:

I’ve just finished episode 3 but why did Mark bring a guitar to Mexico???

I’ve only watched the first episode but my afternoon is going to be dedicated to it.

Having only watched an hour I am fairly certain I know why most of these people can’t find love.

Also hate Barnett.

Can I just state for the record that I would 100% marry Lauren within three or four seconds of meeting her, so I really can’t judge any of them.

Hmmm, so is it no our responsibility to remove it? I’m not sure there is much damage out there tbh.

Thank you but I’m married.:heart_eyes::smile::heart_eyes::smile:
