Had this for years with some shoes I loved, then realised you could buy shoe stretchers, might be cheaper to get new slippers

I am genuinely missing the Sunday dinner thread (insert food emoji here) - I hope the owner of that particular tradition comes back soon.

I did some outside football training this afternoon. My legs are sore. I’ve done no exercise since December.

We ate steak sandwiches for tea - a big pile of chimichurri, roasted pepper and onions and griddled tomatoes. It was excellent.

Just on a train down to the headquarters of The Times newspaper for a meeting about potentially cancelling my trial period before it automatically rolls over into a paid subscription. Here with my lawyer.

First night shift of the week and the boiler and header tank are empty again cos a colleague is more interested in getting home early on Friday afternoon than setting the place up properly for the weekend shutdown and startup. Gonna be a long night :rage:
