Can barely lift arms to respond
Not a good start to the week
Ah, they all start like this to varying degrees - joy of freelancing
This is why I’m desperate for a 9-5 to at least anchor stuff, then I could know what a weekend really means!
It’s my annual appraisal tomorrow
Hi everyone. Binged on mackies chips as the TV watches Grace and frankie.
Managed to take both girls to silverburn today myself without the pram. It worked!
Really pumped about my podcast. Really feel like there is a lot of good momentum.
Well, I drove home with Big Plans and then immediately fell asleep on the sofa. Woke up just in time for the Sunday Dreads.
Do the kids still say FML? I’m bringing back if not. Fuck my FML.
Mate, that’s not a bad achievement. That’s a desire articulated, undertaken and achieved, and you get a tasty sustaining meal. Bunch of steps in there, and now you get to eat your winnings!
Eek good luck!
@laelfy get a dog??
Snooker done, watching Pine Gap. So far, looks very much not my thing so probably go to sleep V soon.
Sunday dreads not too bad but I did do about 4 hours work this afternoon so that’s why I guess…
It’s a massive achievement. Phone call? Dressing? Leaving house? Human interaction? The beautiful reward of delicious food is worth it. Well done, pal x
Definitely can’t get a dog, go away for work too much sadly. Would like one though.
Oh no. Knitting then, or yoga, or playing an instrument.
@laelfy If you’re not bored of reading and researching stuff when you’re finished working, local history is a really fun hobby that massively enriches your experience of your day-to-day surroundings. It can be social or solitary too, which is nice.
When I was thinking about hobbies it was more along the lines of trying a new sport so it’s interesting the responses I’ve had on here! Maybe I need to start thinking outside the box though…
It had somehow slipped my mind that you are into sports, though I definitely knew that! If you’re going sports, I’ve always fancied a go at handball. Need more handballers, and there are clubs in Glasgow. (Are you in Glasgow, is that right?)
Yes that’s a great idea! I remember years ago after an olympics thinking handball looked like great fun and contacted the local club in oxford (which was basically the uni club). They were like ‘sure you can come along and watch’
see, it was meant to be!
That’s just where I live! Give me a shout if you’re ever in the market for a (temporarily) local hobby buddy.
we should definitely go for drinks at some point
I made a Thai style fish curry and it was dead tasty.
We’ve watched most of The Greatest Showman and my favourite bit was the song at the start sounding a bit like Red Right Hand.
