Everyone else in the house made too much breakfast before I got up so Iโ€™m just hoovering the leftovers:

Wor Lass doesnโ€™t put butter on toast if sheโ€™s having another spread so theyโ€™re all a bit dry to me.

Snap. We spent most of yesterday doing hard labour in the garden so roast was the reward.

Today will be breakfast/lunch in a local caff and dinner will be lovely reheated leftovers

I had lunch out yesterday before the theatre, I went to polpo and this is what was had

Four crostini: Olive tapenade, chicken liver and sage pate, fig salami and Gorgonzola, and grape goats curd and pine nut. All very tasty, highlight of the meal experience

Nduja arancini. Can arancini ever go wrong?

Octopus pasta dish I forget the name of. Sweet tomatoey and very fishy octopus, good combo. Nice but not amazing.

Mortadella, pistachio, straciatella pizzette. Bigger than I expected! Tasty, very rich, great dough.

Probably a bad idea

Had a tin of soup for lunch (Scotch broth).

Going to do a toad in the hole for tea, with mash and peas and, perhaps weirdly, some cheesy leeks because @jordan_229 has planted the seed in my head.

Morrisons are pushing these hard at the moment but theyโ€™re (unsurprisingly) not very good. Theyโ€™re very crunchy though.

Morrisons traditional pastie served with Colemanโ€™s mustard (unpictured) for a lunch that spans across Southern England.

Some dried mango.

Chocolate teacake.
