πŸ§€ πŸ… Sunday Dinner 10-05-2020 πŸ₯’πŸ§€

Salutations, friends!

It’s that time of the week when the members of this community who enjoy talking about food, sharing pictures of our meals and getting excited about cooking, come together to discuss what’s on the menu this Sunday.

I hope everyone has something tasty to look forward to

We’re making veggie lasagne :cucumber::tomato::leafy_green::broccoli::cheese::carrot:

I got up before @avery and made us a fry up :sunglasses:

My boy likes his beans mushy like that, I didn’t fuck it up, I did that on purpose.

Of course I only managed to eat half of one half of the roll. Had to save some tummy space for breakfast pudding.

Got some nice steaks with chimichurri butter from work yesterday.

So those with rice and probably some veg when I get home.

Got a pastrami and smoked cheese sub for my lunch, with a bag of wheat crunchies.

Got ingredients for chilli that need to be used today, CBA having chilli for lunch and dinner to be honest. Pretty irked with myself that I didn’t buy chilli heatwave Doritos last night to go with it.

Pics please!

There’s a really good recipe for chocolate orange cake in the Levi Roots cookbook. I’ve made it a few times and it’s always been very well received  made with ground almonds rather than flour and is a little spicy mmm.

That sounds very up my street

We’re doing this, but we just make one big cake with the buttercream in the middle like a Victoria sponge

 I hope it turns out great.
Was it you I sent the link to JP a few weeks ago?

I’m not sure, maybe!

My gf has made practically every vegan thing on there and the only dud was the millionaire shortbread which we made loads of and I had to unhappily work through for the next week

Going to make another enormous Yorkshire pudding. I might make it a regular Sunday challenge.

Standard fortnightly roast dinner. Beef this time. After a few duds, got the Yorkshire puddings right this time (plain flour, room temperature batter, plenty of resting time, super hot pudding tins)

Your dinners always look amazing and I love the way you dish it up in serving bowls, there must be so much washing up to do though!

It’s a bit embarrassing coming after one of ccb’s posts but here is some cheese with a spot of chilli underneath
